Lotus

First time I've picked up a brush in Cambodia. Went to a workshop where we drank wine and painted on Lotus leaves. The canvases were pre-prepared and purchased overseas. We scraped the glue remnants off with a knife, then used oil paint and thinning medium to sponge colour onto the leaves. Nice to work with a lovely group of people and try something new.

Prosper

These aren't recent paintings. I completed these for a friend who wanted something for her office with her 'Prosper' business logo on it several years ago. When visiting her today, I realised I had never taken pictures...so here they are! Acrylic and gesso on stretched canvas.

Goodbye My Little Studio

I love my little art space. I feel truly blessed to have the room to create and experiment. Thank you Dad for your building mastery! Today I packed it all up...preparing for our next adventure. Watch this space...my next artwork may be from the back of a tuk tuk!

Art in Action

A good friend of mine has been asking for a painting from me for years. As we only had a week before flying to Cambodia to live, and a few weeks before her 40th...it seemed like the last chance to get the job done! Nothing like a bit of procrastination! Here's the process. This is very similar to the Combi van painting I just completed for our friends wedding... with a few tweaks. Happy Birthday Kat! Sorry about the long wait...you are very patient.
